We are documenting the renovations and sweat equity that we are putting into our older cape cod home. It is a labour of love as we truly love This House We Call Home!

Preserving Food And Friendship
I would love to learn how to do this locally. I find myself wishing I knew how to can food at this time of the year. I used to make my own herbed vinegars and oils and felt so good using them!
You know, I have canned before and it is incredibly boring. I made bottles of antipasto, copper pennies (pickled carrots...really yummy), and crabapple-choke cherry jelly. Well, I tell you, with that jelly I think I actually recreated the Buckley's cough syrup formula!! It was Nasteee!! It tasted like poison and would put hair on your chest, if it didn't kill you first!! So, that was the last time I "canned" anything!
